SAVE, the Social Alliance for a Vibrant Economy, will be offering two Kids Biz Club programs this fall in the Bellingham school district after school program. These 6 week-long courses will meet two hours per week and are geared to students aged ten to sixteen.
If you have a student who would like to learn about how they fit into the community, develop fundamental skills needed to start a small business and to build a basic business web page; this is a great opportunity for them to do just that. The goal of Kids Biz Club is to inspire students to start their own small business and teach them how to plan a business and build their own business website. The courses include a 100-page course notebook and USB Drive “Computer on a Stick” with Linux programs and storage for their project.
No experience required. Bring your own Laptop.
Bring your own laptop or SAVE will supply a laptop for students who need it. Parents of students are encouraged to attend the classes and learn along with their student and assist the instructor and students.
What if my children are not in the schools that will provide this programming? Contact us. We can set up a private program for a class size of 10. The private course price is $199 per student per quarter.
